Colonoscopy is an endoscopy procedure where the Large Intestine or Colon along with distal part of small intestine is examined. 

Colonoscopy is an endoscopy procedure where the Large Intestine or Colon along with distal part of small intestine is examined. This procedure in addition to examination of colon, allows us to takes biopsies from suspected lesions in the large intestine. Also polyps, if found, can be removed during the same examination.

Patient needs to take bowel preparation with a laxative, the preparation is partly one night prior to the examination & partly on the day of examination.
